Unwavering doula support for families across SE Missouri.
Welcome, friend!
I'm Amelia Protiva. I've been working as a doula for over a decade, driven by the belief that support and care is essential for the safety and wellbeing of all women and birthing people. My work in reproductive advocacy combines evidence-based support, education, and care equity.
My role is to be your echo. I specialize in birth, postpartum, and bereavement support, bringing evidence-based education and physical care into your birthing space. I advocate for your values and wishes, ensuring your voice is heard and you feel respected throughout your journey.
My path into this work is deeply personal. After experiencing recurrent pregnancy loss, I understand the complex emotions and fears that can accompany pregnancy and birth. I'm now mom to a beautiful girl who brings so much joy and light, and my journey through loss has deepened my commitment to supporting all families through theirs.
Beyond my local doula practice, I'm the founder of Birthkind, a network built to help birth workers and families access kinder birth care across the United States.
